Staying On Topic
Staying On TopicIt is interesting to note that Rogerian school of therapy gives little or no attention to topics for a rogerian argument essay. In fact, the place where ideas are discussed and concepts established is often neglected. One of the best reasons for the lack of attention on topics for a rogerian argument essay is the fact that there is no standard format for such discussions.I suggest a method for discussing topics for a rogerian argument essay that has been used successfully by many therapists who use the model of Rogerian therapy in their work. It would be helpful to follow along with these examples as they may serve as model solutions. The first step would be to establish a context in which the thoughts are to be expressed and communicated, and then provide clues regarding how to use them in the appropriate way to get the reader's attention. For example, we would not want to use 'no' as a statement of fact, but rather as a description of our experience. It is a verb and is not a statement of fact. Another example would be to mention 'no' at the end of a sentence; as the last word of a sentence.Next, it is important to look at the importance of each topic in the treatment process. Often these topics are either ancillary to the main treatment approach or as a means to 'get around' the primary intervention. We should keep in mind that the main goal of all the therapists in our treatment setting is to bring about the best results. The idea of starting with 'not' as a subject would call into question the emphasis placed on ideas and concepts. We should take some time to consider whether or not the ideas and concepts are worthy of our attention and focus. For example, we might wonder if a topic of gambling would be helpful in stopping gambling. Many people, however, recognize that it is difficult to tackle any given subject when one is new to Rogerian therapy. This creates a necessity for the introduction of supporting themes that have the ability to begi n to move from the beginning, in a way that makes it easier to make headway with the 'not.'One of the topics for a rogerian argument essay that serves as a foundation for discussion is, of course, 'not.' If this is a topic, we should do everything in our power to establish a context for it. For example, we could simply say that it would be helpful to develop a context for not saying 'no.'The next step in establishing a framework for topics for a rogerian argument essay would be to discuss and explain the problems with not being able to say 'no.' Of course, we should never overlook the need to stop saying the word 'no' altogether. Additionally, we should create ways to express 'no' that are meaningful, and that we are aware of, and that are easy to implement in our lives.
